Why prices vary
Cooking gas (LPG) is partially imported and bulk-stored at depots in Lagos, Rivers and Delta. Distance from those depots to the retail outlet, local depot availability, and state demand all affect the per-kg price.
Northern states (Borno, Yobe, Sokoto, Kebbi) typically pay 15-25% more than coastal states (Lagos, Rivers, Delta) because of haulage. PriceRadar refreshes this data when NBS publishes the monthly LPG Price Watch (usually mid-month for the prior month).
